Chikoo Patel is a Loyola University Chicago graduate with B.B.A in Finance from the Quinlan School of Business and a CFA charterholder.
His career started upon the formation of an investment fund: CKO Investments. From the humble beginnings of raising $250K, he has organically grown AUM to over $4M in the course of three years. During that time, he has invested heavily in residential & commercial real estate and provided seed funding & advisory services on multiple ventures including, Ohm Culture, a boutique yoga studio in the West Loop which was named the “Best Yoga Studio in Chicago” by Chicago Magazine in 2016 , CartoFront, a real estate predictive mapping startup, and Green Securities, a healthcare security platform.
On the real estate front, his pride in craftsmanship is shown in some of his work which has been nominated for the Chicago Association of Realtors Good Neighbor Award, and the coveted Bruce Abrams Award for 2015.
Additionally, he was co-owner of Under the Table in Evanston, a fine-dining pop-up restaurant touted by Urban Daddy and Zagat. The encore to Under the Table was a full scale fine-dining restaurant in Bangkok named Origin with Alinea alumni, Marcus Townsend, at the helm as executive chef. Lifestyle Asia nominated Origin as a “Restaurant to Watch” for the Michelin Star list.
He brought his construction, real estate, and finance background to ROC Realty Group- a division of @properties commercial in late 2014. Now a CFA charterholder, the most respected & globally recognized designation in the investment world, clients look to him given his knowledge of construction, understanding of not just the local markets, but global, and his ability to tie in a global understanding of macroeconomic trends to position clients better for the short and long term.
